Community Development Administrative Assistant

Are you a detail-orientated, process-driven, self-starter?  Would you like to help guide the growth and development of the Forest Lake community? If so, this position may be for you!  The Forest Lake Community Development Department is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help create and sustain important department processes and procedures.  While the position serves as support staff for planning, zoning, and park and recreation endeavors, it is also responsible for land use and zoning permit administration, general office administration, and marketing and promotion. 

Education And/Or Experience Required: 

High school degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field and/or prior experience in support or customer service. Work in a municipal or government setting is preferred.

Police Officer – Full-Time

Salary Range: $34.36-45.96/hour

Job Summary

The Forest Lake Police Department is seeking applications for one immediate full-time Police Officer. Applicants must be highly motivated, dedicated to community service, and possess a strong work ethic and communication skills.

The 2023 contract salary range is $71,468–$95,596 annually ($34.36-45.96/hour) along with health, dental and vision contributions up to $1,415/monthly.  Lateral candidates will have the ability for additional salary and benefit considerations within this hiring process.  A streamlined training program may also be given based upon experience and current pay structure.  Up to $2,000 a year in tuition reimbursement is available to all employees.

The Forest Lake Police Department strives to find talented candidates for both current and future openings, which may include identifying candidates with the potential to move into police officer positions due to future vacancies. Warming House Attendants

The City of Forest Lake is currently hiring several part-time seasonal Warming House Attendants.  Individuals will provide leadership, enforce rules and implement safe recreation practices both on the rinks and in the warming house.

Hourly Pay Range: $11.00 - $13.00
